Vice President, Market Access and Pricing
Build market access and pricing for a first commercial launch in cardiometabolic disease. You will set price, payer strategy and the Medicare approach while the label is still taking shape.
A typical mandate
The company is preparing an NDA for an oral therapy in resistant hypertension, a large primary care and cardiology market. Commercial infrastructure is limited to a small launch planning team. This is the first market access hire and will shape how the product reaches patients.
What the role owns
- Set pricing strategy and gross-to-net assumptions with finance and the commercial lead
- Develop payer value propositions and lead early engagement with PBMs and national health plans
- Shape Medicare Part D strategy, including the implications of the Inflation Reduction Act
- Plan HEOR evidence generation with medical affairs to support formulary decisions
- Build the access team, including trade, contracting and field reimbursement roles
- Oversee government pricing setup with legal and finance, including Medicaid and 340B
What great candidates bring
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH or PharmD preferred
- 15+ years in market access, pricing or payer marketing, with launch experience
- Direct experience negotiating with PBMs and large commercial plans
- Working knowledge of Medicare Part D redesign and IRA price negotiation
- Primary care or cardiometabolic launch experience strongly preferred
- Experience building a team from a small starting point
